HEIC JPG Converter is designed to help users convert HEIC photos to JPG, PNG, and other image formats, remove EXIF metadata, convert images to PDF, and manage their photo library. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how we handle information.
Information We Collect
Photos and Media
- HEIC JPG Converter accesses your device's photo library solely to allow you to select photos for format conversion, metadata viewing, and PDF creation.
- All image conversion and processing is performed entirely on your device.
- We do not upload, transmit, or store your photos on any external servers.
- Converted files are saved back to your device's photo library, the Files app, or within the app with your permission.
Google Drive Integration
- The App offers optional Google Drive integration for saving converted photos to cloud storage.
- If you choose to connect Google Drive, authentication is handled through Google's OAuth system.
- We only request the minimum permissions needed to upload files to your Google Drive.
- We do not access, read, or store any other files in your Google Drive account.
EXIF Metadata
- The App can read and display EXIF metadata (camera info, GPS location, date taken, etc.) from your photos.
- You can choose to strip GPS location data or all metadata before converting for privacy.
- All metadata processing happens entirely on your device.
Conversion History
- The App stores your conversion history locally on your device.
- This includes thumbnail images, file names, formats, and conversion details.
- This data is stored using your device's local storage and is not transmitted to any external servers.
App Preferences
Your app settings (such as dark mode preference, language settings, output format preferences, and quality settings) are stored locally on your device.
Information We Do NOT Collect
HEIC JPG Converter does not collect, store, or transmit:
- Personal identification information (name, email, address)
- Location data
- Device identifiers
- Analytics or usage data
- Any data to external servers or third parties (except optional Google Drive uploads you initiate)
How We Use Your Information
All data processing occurs locally on your device for the following purposes:
- Converting HEIC images to JPG, PNG, WebP, TIFF, BMP, GIF, and other formats
- Viewing and stripping EXIF metadata from photos
- Combining images into PDF documents
- Extracting images from PDF files
- Adjusting image quality and file size
- Organizing converted photos into folders
- Uploading converted files to Google Drive (only when you initiate this action)
- Displaying your conversion history
- Saving your app preferences
Data Storage and Security
- All app data is stored locally on your device.
- Data is protected by your device's built-in security features.
- We do not have access to any of your data.
- Uninstalling the app will delete all locally stored data.
In-App Purchases and Subscriptions
The App offers optional premium subscriptions (weekly and yearly) and a one-time lifetime purchase through Apple's In-App Purchase system. All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple. We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment information, credit card details, or Apple ID credentials.
Third-Party Services
HEIC JPG Converter does not use any third-party analytics tools or tracking services. The app may display advertisements through Google AdMob for free users. AdMob may collect certain device information as described in Google's Privacy Policy. Premium subscribers enjoy an ad-free experience.
If you choose to use the Google Drive integration, your use of Google Drive is subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
Children's Privacy
HEIC JPG Converter does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. The app is a general utility tool that does not require any personal information to function.
Your Rights and Choices
Managing Your Data
- You can delete individual converted photos or clear all history within the app.
- You can revoke photo library access at any time through your device's Settings app.
- You can disconnect Google Drive at any time within the app's settings.
- Uninstalling the app removes all associated data from your device.
Permissions
- Photo Library Access (Read): Required to select photos for conversion and metadata viewing. You can deny or revoke this permission in Settings.
- Photo Library Access (Write): Required to save converted photos back to your photo library. You can deny or revoke this permission in Settings.
